MSI maintains a fully stocked, fully staffed retail outlet at our Activity Road location. We are easily San Diego’s most complete expendables outlet for every part of the film, theatre, TV, meetings and events market. We stock thousands of items in San Diego from gel, tie line, gaffers tape, batteries, sand bags, fog fluid, scrim kits, blank tape stock, duvetyn, muslin, lamps, specialty tools, gloves, and books; to the hard to find stuff like hardware, airwall hangers, light meters, sky hooks, wine openers and sticky boogers. We keep most audio, video, and lighting connectors and adaptors in stock, as well as cable, gel frames, barn doors, top hats, blah, blah, blah. (or, “and the list goes on.”)
We also rep almost all of the entertainment manufactures and can help you understand their products and pricing. (Note: “Sticky Booger” is Bollard’s name for small bits of florist putty used to adhere gel to ceilings over recessed lighting fixtures. It’s sticky, resists heat and doesn’t leave a residue. “Hand me a twelve inch cut of GAM 155 and four sticky boogers.”)
